How we work
Our recruitment process
Eight steps for workers from CV to departure, and a short guide for employers. It follows the official DOFE process.
Why we document everything
A paper trail that protects you
Nepal's Foreign Employment Act 2007 creates a paper trail for each worker: the employer's demand, the contract, DOFE approval, the labour permit and welfare-fund registration. This trail protects workers if something goes wrong abroad.
Careful documentation and clear steps are core to how Power Support works. The steps below show what we do and what you need to do.
Documents workers usually need
- Valid Nepali passport
- Citizenship certificate
- Educational certificates
- Trade or skill certificates, if any
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Police clearance, where the destination asks for it
For workers
Eight steps from CV to departure
Exact requirements differ by employer and country. Your counsellor will confirm them.
- 1
Registration and CV
You send your CV, passport copy and certificates through the apply page, by WhatsApp or at our office. We check the documents are complete and record the job and country you want.
What you do: Send a clear CV and a passport copy. Keep your originals with you.
- 2
Screening and interview
We review your experience against open employer demands. We speak with you about the job, the country, the contract and the costs. Interviews may be held with us or with the employer, in person or by video.
What you do: Be honest about your skills and work history. Ask any question you have.
- 3
Demand and selection
The employer sends a demand listing the positions, salary, benefits and conditions. Candidates who fit are shortlisted and the employer makes the final selection. Some roles also need a trade test.
What you do: Read the offered terms carefully before you accept. Tell us if anything differs from what you were told.
- 4
Medical examination
Selected workers take a medical examination at an approved clinic. The clinic depends on the destination country.
What you do: Attend on the given date with your passport and answer the doctor honestly.
- 5
Visa processing
We prepare and submit the visa or work-permit application with the required documents and follow it up with the relevant office. Processing time depends on the country and the authority.
What you do: Provide the documents we ask for quickly. Do not pay anyone outside the agreed process.
- 6
DOFE approval and labour permit
Before you can lawfully leave for work, the contract and documents are filed with the Department of Foreign Employment, welfare-fund and insurance registration is completed, and the labour permit is issued.
What you do: Keep the receipts and a copy of your signed contract and labour permit.
- 7
Pre-departure orientation
Workers attend the pre-departure orientation required by Nepal. It covers your contract, your rights, life and work in the destination country and who to contact if there is a problem.
What you do: Attend the whole session and note the emergency contacts.
- 8
Departure and follow-up
We confirm your ticket and travel details with you before you fly. After arrival you can contact our office if the job or conditions differ from your contract.
What you do: Message us when you arrive and keep your documents with you.

Common questions
Process FAQs
How much does the process cost for workers?
Charges are capped by the Department of Foreign Employment. We explain every cost before you commit and you should get a receipt for each payment. Some employers cover part or all of the costs.
How long does it take?
It depends on the employer, the country and the government offices involved. Gulf placements are often completed within one to two months after selection, and Europe can take longer. We will tell you what to expect for your case.
Can I withdraw?
Yes, before you sign the contract and receive your visa. After that, the terms depend on the employer agreement. We explain this before you reach that stage.
