Frequently asked questions
Straight answers for job seekers and employers.
Is Power Support a licensed manpower agency in Nepal?
Yes. Power Support Employment Pvt. Ltd. holds Department of Foreign Employment licence no. 1710/081/082 and is registered with PAN 619762164. The licence certificate is published on our licences page, and you can check any agency on the DOFE website, dofe.gov.np.
Which countries do you recruit for?
We currently recruit for employers in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Romania, Croatia and Serbia. Demand changes from month to month, so message us to ask what is open for your trade.
How do I apply for a job through Power Support?
Send your CV and passport details through the application form, or visit our office in Sinamangal, Kathmandu. Our team will check which of our current employer demands match your trade and experience and contact you. You can also write to us on WhatsApp or Viber.
What services do you offer?
For job seekers: placement assistance, visa processing support and career counselling. For employers: recruitment of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers, screening and interviews, and HR consultancy.
How much does it cost to go abroad for work?
The government sets the maximum service charge an agency can take and decides when an employer must pay for the ticket and visa. Ask for a written breakdown and an official receipt for every payment. Our DOFE fee estimator shows the usual government-set costs for each destination.
What documents do I need to apply?
At minimum a passport, passport-size photos, citizenship certificate and an updated CV. Trade or educational certificates and experience letters help. The employer and destination country may ask for more.
Do I need a DOFE labour permit?
Yes. Every Nepali worker going abroad for work needs a labour permit from the Department of Foreign Employment. A licensed agency helps you through the process; you cannot legally work abroad on a visit visa.
How can I tell whether an agency is real?
Check the agency name and licence number on the DOFE website (dofe.gov.np). Power Support's number is 1710/081/082. Be careful of anyone who asks for cash with no receipt, promises a job without an interview or contract, or pushes you onto a visit visa.
Can employers hire through Power Support?
Yes. Employers send a demand letter or an enquiry describing the roles, numbers, salary and conditions. We source and screen candidates and handle the Nepal-side documentation. Use the request workers page to start.
